มีรูปแบบดังนี้
บอกเล่า Subject + was / were +
V.ing
คำถาม Was / Were + Subject +
V.ing?
ปฏิเสธ Subject + was / were + not +
V.ing
ตัวอย่าง :
1. I was playing football at 4 pm.
yesterday.
(ฉันกำลังเล่นฟุตบอลตอน 4
โมงเย็นเมื่อวานนี้)
2. She was watching TV at 6 pm. yesterday.
(หล่อนกำลังดูโทรทัศน์ตอน 6 โมงเย็นเมื่อวานนี้)
เมื่อต้องการแต่งประโยค

Continuous/Progressive Tense ให้มีความหมายเชิงปฏิเสธให้นำ
not มาเติมหลัง Verb to be ซึ่งมีโครงสร้างดังนี้
โครงสร้าง:
Subject + was, were + not + Verb1
ing.
(ประธาน + was,
were + not + กริยา เติม ing.)
ตัวอย่าง
:
1. I was not (wasn’t) playing football at 4 pm.
yesterday.
(ฉันกำลังเล่นฟุตบอลตอน 4 โมงเย็นวานนี้)
2. She was not watching TV at 6
pm. yesterday.
(หล่อนกำลังดูโทรทัศน์ตอน 6
โมงเย็นเมื่อวานนี้)

Continuous/Progressive Tense ให้มีความหมาย เชิงคำถามให้นำ Verb to be มาวางไว้หน้าประโยคและตอบด้วย
Yes หรือ No ซึ่งมีโครงสร้างดังนี้
โครงสร้าง:
Was ,Were + Subject + Verb 1 ing.?
(Was , Were + ประธาน + กริยา เติม ing. ?)
